That you feel you have to keep the thread going when you have already seemingly fulfilled your dream of being first, strikes me as showing you up as a bit of a loser, who can only take pride in simple triumphs.

Is s6k's claim in the title of this thread actually true?

(S)he has only given one example for a general claim, namely that in this thread it is her/him being the first.

In the old Mudcat times, you could post with no entry in the 'from' line, not even 'GUEST'. You still can post with no entry in the text section. Therefore, in the old times (and the threads are still there) someone could start a thread that had no entry at all and no poster name. You cannot get closer than that to the ideal that there actually are threads that do not have a first poster.

Now the thing is!!! I have started a few threads and have put the first entry in....nothing to give me pride or status but I have had many replies of a pleasant and helpful nature. Thankfully, no-one has ever called me an a..., even though by some standards I might be one.
s6k, you have the great honour of being the "first person" to write to a thread where someone calls you an a... but even that honour may have been given to someone before you. Oh well never mind. Hope your glory and honour is long lived.
