Subject: RE: Obit: Mitch Uharriet From: Gypsy Date: 14 May 07 - 11:01 PM We are thinking of Mitch, and working up his version of Old Joe Clark. Does anyone know if he wrote it, or dug it up? A tip of me hat to ye, laddie. We still miss you. |
Subject: RE: Obit: Mitch Uharriet (May, 2004) From: GUEST,Janet Campbell Date: 23 May 07 - 12:19 PM I was just putting music in my Itunes, and I came across Mitch's CD, Unusual Suspect, so I put it in, and suddenly wondered about the man I met only once when I rode the Skunk Train with my little girl, about 5 years ago. He was playing his banjo and mandoline, and I was amazed at his incredible talent. I loved the music! We talked a lot on his breaks, and I enjoyed his outlook on life, and his attitude toward the music. It was a very memorable trip, because of him. I bought the CD, of course. While I was downloading music, I wondered if he had put out any more CD's, so I checked online for him...and found this. I am so sorry to hear such a wonderful person and musician has passed away so suddenly, and so early. He left a lasting impression on me, and I only ever saw him one time, for about two hours. I can only imagine what it must have been like to be one of his family or friends... |
