I am currently putting together a small project. Somewhere in my NET wanderings in the past, I was almost certain that I had encountered a Black Band by name 'King Wilkie' who recorded in the late teens through the 1920's. I can find no reference to same today except for a BLUEGRASS band using the name.

Am I delusional? Did this group exist or was this one musician's handle!

the current bluegrass band says they got their name from Bill Monroe's
horse (or mule) as I recall. They record on Rebel Records.
