Went to see Richard Thompson at warwick arts centre last night, and would recommend you snap up any tickets remaining as it should get even better. Jim Moray opened up (not literally) with an excellent short set, which let you wanting more, and then Richard was stunning. Did anybody else go?

Saw it on Saturday at Hackney Empire which Jim Moray described as like playing inside a Fabergé egg. I agree Richard Thomson was stunning and Jim was very, very impressive. Both musicians are performing solo on this tour and were each well able to hold the stage alone.

Yes, Jim's set was short, six songs in Hackney and only five at Warwick. Two Sisters, Lord Bateman and Poverty Knock were common to both while Hackney added Fair Sally, Longing for Lucy and Warwick (according to my spies) had Sweet England, title track of his cd and Sprig of Thyme, the single which was released this week and entered the charts at 72.

I'm tempted to catch it again at Watford this Saturday.

Does anyone know of any plans for a 2007 UK Tour?

From his website, he appears to be staying firmly in the USA until Christmas.

Don't want to arrange any holidays and miss him :-(
