Subject: RE: Cheapest copies of RUS? From: BO in KY Date: 21 May 04 - 12:23 AM Thanks, y'all. I have been watching these books on e-bay for the last several months, and most go for around $17, which is not much of a savings. The deal from Sing Out is tempting, but I can't really float $250 and 30 books is probably too much of a good thing. So far, Overstock is the best deal at $10.69 per, but I'm still thinking there must be cheaper used ones out there. Perhaps if those who despise the thing could send me a few - I'll make sure you never see them again :-). Thanks again for all your help and input. Shalom, Bo |

Subject: RE: Cheapest copies of RUS? From: M.Ted Date: 20 May 04 - 10:19 AM When I taught guitar, I used to order them a carton at a time(30 copies) the from publisher(Sing Out Publications--1.888.SING-OUT)--they worked out to be just about half-price-used book sellers tend to price them at half cover price(sometimes more, because people want them), so you will have new books for about the price of used ones-- They used to give a good discount on smaller quantities, as well. One hint, get the money from your people up front, or you will end up chasing people to the ends of the earth to collect your eight bucks-- |
Subject: Cheapest copies of RUS? From: BO in KY Date: 20 May 04 - 09:38 AM Setting aside (for a moment!) the ongoing argument over the use of "Rise Up Singing" in song circles, I need to know what the cheapest source would be for, say, a dozen copies. I am doing some song leading and people have asked for lyrics; this is the easiest way I know of to provide them without violating all kinds of copywrite laws. I don't need new books, in fact I was hoping to get a better deal on a bunch of used ones. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Bo |
