This is a slow Irish air called The Lonely Boat or The Lonesome Boatman. Can I get a copy of the music in sheet music or is it in an Irish song book! HELP!

Also on this (By Nancy Grifith with lyrics):

I heard from Alex Bevan (of Cleveland) when we talked about how both of us do "Night Rider's Lament" that he had run across Mike Burton in Alaska one. Alex indicated that Mike was a transplanted Texan at that time (maybe five years ago) living in Alaska. That's all I can tell you. The song was also recorded by Gordon Bok, Ed Trickett, and Ann Mayo Muir on one of their Folk Legacy recordings.

Hi all, I was acquainted with "Alaska" Mike Burton more than twenty years ago when I lived in Los Angeles area, I spent several weekends jamming with him and "Ramblin" Jack Elliott in John Bellahs living room in Canoga Park.
I heard on WHUS bulletin board about five years ago that he did a show on Long Island.
Haven't heard of him in years, He did write some good music.
In talking with him, I seem to remember that he flew in Viet Nam (Helicoptors?), and that he flew fixed wing aircraft in Alaska. As I also am a pilot he talked the talk, and I believe he was also an experienced pilot.
Perhaps could do a search in FAA records for pilot licenses, likely he would have a rotorcraft and fixed wing commercial rating.
I would like to make contact with him also.
