Hi, Capt...we went through this movie in Nov 2003...but you are bang on with "Folk Song"...but for some reason it's posted as "all the while"...God knows why..For the record (sorry about the pun!!) The single was first published in 1960, Parlophone 45R-4712 written by Rudge-Dicks...and the revue it came from was..."and another thing"

Hullo,
Recently some of you helped me with the lyric of a song which Bernard Cribbens recorded the title of which I thought was " Folk Song" but which I was told is actually called "All The While' . In case anyone is interested EMI have recently released a compilation CD of some of his stuff called The Very Best Of Bernard Cribbens.

That would be Myles Rudge & Ted Dicks, who also wrote HOLE IN THE GROUND and RIGHT SAID FRED.

FOLK SONG was also recorded by Adge Cutler & The Wurzels on "Carry On Cutler!" Columbia LP SCX6367, 1969.

I gather the tune is still missing from the Digitrad Collection. Is the tune a straight steal from another well known song? If not could some kind person please record and save a verse or two as WAV, MP3, RA or similar and send to a volunteer here - as yet to self nominate.

Regards, John
