I raised both of my sons in briefs & they both switched to boxers in high school. Their dad wears briefs; their grandpa wears boxers. Go figure; I can't.

While we're on the subject, I'd like to know if anyone who wears briefs actually uses the built-in flap to pee? It's the most awkward thing to try and do, like strangling the poor thing! So do you use the flap or pull down the waistband?

Usually followed by tighty-whities slingshotted past my head. I have yet to figure out why airborne underwear is so strangely amusing *puzzled*

What I want to know is...why thongs? What are they? Essentially...butt-floss. Why do people wear them? I can see maybe their usefulness as water-balloon launchers in a tight spot but other than that...you just get blisters in awkward places...

Briefs.
1) I have never been able to sleep in pyjamas, and boxers are the start of that.

2) Testicles usually 'hang' one a bit below the other. There is a good reason for that. Any guy who ever 'crushed' his jewels between his thighs will recognize that having them out of the way is a good idea. Crushing one's jewels between one's thighs gives a whole new meaning to the word "ouch". Briefs prevent that when one is asleep.

3) If I wore boxers, I'd figure I was wearing someone else's shorts, and that just wouldn't do.

4) For any of you guys who are going to say you wear boxers so that Mr Happy doesn't show when you walk around the house--I have heard that one before. My advice is to fold it in two or tie it in a knot. Duct tape works well.

5) Mr Loom (from the Fruit of company) has had me hooked on briefs since I was a kid.

6) I don't like the 'tangled' feeling I get from boxers. I toss and turn frequently when I sleep, and boxers make me feel like I'm being gift wrapped or something strange like that.

7) One can easily used permanent marker to put cute expression on one's rear end. I always go with LEFT RIGHT.

8) It is a kindness one can extend to people with whom one wishes to be rude. For example, I have told a few folks in my time to "Eat my shorts!" No one has yet taken me up on the offer, but there is less material on briefs, and in the unlikely event anyone decides to do it, I wouldn't want to be responsible for a choking death.

9) The elastic band will make a good fan belt to get one to the nearest gas station should an emergency arise.

I go with briefs - they keep everything in place, though I have to admit, like Cary Grant, I have a weekness fopr ladies panties - especially the "boy shorts" with a bit of spandex in them. It's a nice change from cotton knit.

I am usually bought boxers for Christmas. They ususally have rude messages on. They are hideously uncomfortable and don't even make good dusters. Briefs for ever.

The ladies I have discussed it with (3-4) 'seem' to prefer boxers, as they provide 'style' and are possible presents for guys....
