Hi Larkin,

I am a Guernseyman however I live in Blighty now. Last time I was in Guernsey there was a folk club albeit not well attended.

Watch out for the Guernsey bitter, it's strong.

Have a nice break, prsonally if I go back for more than a week I get island fever and want to be somewhere else.

Safe Journeys

GM

If you are a foodie, the best restaurant I found is "The Absolute End" - a fish place at the north end of St Peter Port (on the seafront). If the squid was in season (which it isn't) you would be able to try the signature dish - worth delaying your trip until October or so.

cheers, Terry

I'll let you know if we get there I'm a foodie but not really a fishy.
Cheers Martin

...and for any Guernseyfolks who are interested it will be the venue for the 3rd International Festival of the Irish Language Oct 23-25th.
Loads of Gaeilgeoirí will be coming from all over Europe to meet up with local enthusiasts for a variety of Irish language events...including more than a bit of traditional music of an evening, of course!
