It took me the better part of last Summer to build what will probably be my greatest architectual achievment... although still not quite complete, it is at last ready for habitation and use as a (small) concert genre here in Maine.

Recognizing, of course, our committment to being good stewards of the Earth and conserving valuable resources, most of the building materials for this edifice are "recycled", having been salvaged at the local "Recycling Center"... or what used to be known as "The Dump".

Up heah in Maine, we don't make one of these traditional folk-art buildings with store-bought lumber; nosirrie Bob!

It is yet a work in progress, requisite parts being added as they become availabe at ... the Dump.

But at length, it is finally "Open for Business"!

Since this is my crowning achievement in life - at least architectually - I decided to call it...

        "The UNCLE JAQUE MEMORIAL PAVILION"
         UJMP : OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

something for future generations to remember me by onest after I am gwine.

Last weekend Aunt Martha & me went up to our little campsite on the shores of Berry Pond in Winthrop where this monumental edifice am erecticated, and I had the honor of pre-forming the first Concert in the Pavillion, with my Agent, "Wee Angus" MacBaer seated on the stage directly to my right, and a pint tin dipper of good stout to me left with which to occasionally refresh me vocal apparattuses.

Premiere Concert Performance in the UJMP

The place was packed; standing room only!

When our Audience stepped back to snap a picture of my premiere performance, she backed right out the door and fell over backwards!
She's all right though, so the concert went on, accompanied by the sonorious humming of millions of attending mosquitos and black flys.

So if you're ever up this way and would like to get off the main road a ways, C'mon over to the Pavilion and...

        Set A Spell!

        The view is wonderful;

View Out Pavilion Main Entrance (From Center Stage)

And we hardly ever shuts the door, unless we've got Company which ain't in the purticularly immediate Family.

The UncleJaque Memorial Pavilion is a conteplative sanctuary, where one can meditate to the seranade of the legion of frogs down in our own little swamp, accompanied on occasion by the yodel of the resident Loons or the staccatto hammering of a nearby Pileated Woodpecker.

UJ Calling Loons With Tin Whistle

We keep the "Paperwork" in a tin can so's the "Little People" don't chaw it all up for nesting material, and a bucket of lime to sweeten 'er up a tad if it gets too intense in there. I'll be putting a coal hod full of corncobs in there too, as soon as I find one, for them whats want to go the old-fashioned back-to-nature route, or perhaps an old Sears-roebuck catalog hung over a clotheshanger hooked up to a nail in the wall.

Gotta rig a hook on one o' the rafters, too, for tae hang the kerosene lantern on at night, don't ye know?

        AAHhhhhhh; Nature!
