Subject: Morrison's Jig From: Jackrabbit Date: 18 Oct 98 - 07:53 PM Does anyone know alternative names to Morrison's Jig. Alan Stivell has it on the Renaissance de la Harpe Celtique album as Port Ui Mhuirgheasa. Does that translate from Irish as Morrison's Jig? |

Subject: RE: Morrison's Jig From: The Shambles Date: 19 Oct 98 - 04:09 PM Here are some--Lyon's Favorite, Maurice Carmody's Favourite, Paddy Stack's Fancy Jig and the Stick across the Hob. Have you looked in the Fiddler's Companion, I would give you the link but I couldn't get the ULR to work. I'm sure you will find it if you do a search. I can't help with the translation i'm afraid. I can play it but I can't say it. |
