Hello!

First, I would like to say that the title for this thread that I would like to put is too long, but I would have said....

Gainsborough Riverside Festival Folk Concert at Old Hall on 19th June 2004

Still!

It was a great night! I enjoyed listening to a variety of guitar styles being played by many well known and new folk artists that I saw on the night. It was fantastic!

Yes an interesting array of performers and viewers in a 15-16th Century house...The Old Hall at Gainsborough.
Performers from Gainsborough Folk Club and others gave a concert in the Main Hall, which, though large is accoustically good. It was however rather cold as this room is all year.
All seemed to have a good time...only sort of slightly interrupted by the rather loud firework display outside.
Be Blessed.

My feet have just thawed out! Despite this, Mike and I enjoyed the evening very much. Thanks to everyone who came.

Even I had to put me fleece on over me thick layer of blubber! It were cold enough to freeze the frock off a fairy, but a very enjoyable night with a few good laughs along the way - shame about Sue & Mikes 'drummer'! (LOL)

J :0)

It was "Pleasant and delightful" summers night. The music was, but our beautiful Old Hall could freeze you right through even in an
heat wave. Brilliant setting though. Hope this doesn't put the music
visitors off in the future. See you in the warm Drovers Call on Friday.
