I'd like to thank Dave Kenningham and Richard Phipps for organising a great weekend. I know that they both put a tremendous amount of hard work into ensuring that we all have a good time. Thanks also for the free beer!

Myself and Doogie are looking forward to September.

Once again thanks Davey & Dickie

I think this is the same weekend as Walton-0n-the-Naze Festival, if so Linda & I won't be able to make it.

Yes - it's the same weekend as Walton-on-the-Naze, and Deal Maritime. It's so frustrating not being able to get there - booked you see. Maybe one of these days!

AHH Richard so you will be there sorry read this after I PM'd you..
It seems a shame that the weekend clashes with other things, but then, it is that time of year when there is always something going on.
Oy Hippy you had better bring a tent, sleeping bag and food this time, I don't think the fairies will look after you next time!! LOL

Not sure if I can get those days off work myself now!

I wonder if the great DK could defer it for a couple of weeks?

Sorry but the field has been booked - It's definitely 8th - 12th Sept.
It will be great if any more mudcatters came along.

If you do want some beer - let me know - I'd need to start it off in the next few weeks. Assuming that Pat's still got his pressure vessel it could go in that - I'd just charge you for the ingredients as usual.

As already mentioned, Linda and I will be at Walton FF.

Thought I'd better bring this thread to the top since there is only a week or so to go.

The field is booked and Debbie has promised to give a fantastic workshop.I have donated a tent to the Hippie so there is no worry about waking up beside him this time!.

Sorry to hear from those who cannot make it due to other festivals but hope to see you at some time during the remainder of the year.

Anyone else who would like to spend a weekend under the stars with nothing else to do other than drink, sing a variety of songs around the campfire, meet fantastic people and visit the tally ho is very welcome to come along.

As I've said, sorry that Linda and I can't make it, but we have our regular booking at Walton Folk Festival, that weekend.

Have fun - I hope the weather is good.

This time we are issuing tickets. So people will have to pay when they arrive. It's only £4 per night per unit. WE supply chemical toilets, real log firewood and usually some free booze on Saturday, yet there are still a lot of poeople that sneak off Sunday morning without coughing up. So cash up front please folks - also a voluntry fee of £1 per head for day trippers that are not camping overnight.

Hope this great weather holds out - see y'all there!

It has been a great weekend. Thank you to Richard B and others who provided some very memorable moments. Also, to Sue and Debbie who stocked the food tents on Thursday and Saturday night.Knockholt stew and dumplings will be on the menu again next year.

I have some photographs I shall put on my site over the next week. It was great to see the encouragement given to the younger performers.

One of the photographs will prove that an electric guitar is even welcome in the middle of Knockholt field.!!!.

At least we can work out a date for our next summer BBQ now - it'll have to be either 12th or 26th of June.

Sorry we couldn't make last weekend, but we were booked for Walton-on-the-Naze FF, which was also a good event.

That sheep obviously missed out - perhaps it's one of the ugly ones !

Well, yes, it was a traditional metal song - as Woodsie remarked at the time, the version probably inspired by Blue Cheer. And dammit now I bethink me of other traditional metal performances I might have emulated such as Frijid Pink.

Good guitars for the price, those Pacificas, but not really goth in appearance.

I've been out with the PA rig tonight. That would really upset the neighbours! Maybe we ought to organise a folkmob heavy electric band....

Every once in a drunken while I do strap on the Hagstrom electric (very punk, or garage in the traditional sense, not as in garage and hip-hop) and lay some heavy distortion on some folk, looking fo inspiration....
