Yohimbe root is what you may be looking for.
It gave me a robust alertness with no jitters and no adverse side effects... except the herbal taste.

I could read all night long afterwards.
As long as I caught up on sleep it did give me energy.

I only used it serval times so I have no idea what abouse would do.

i heard that if you mix redbull with panax ginseng, it gives u an extreme energy boost.... im aprehensive to try it but i was wondering if anyone has.

Red Bull - nasty tasting stuff - so full of sugar it does very
strange things to poor diabetics like me. Tried it once, head still
buzzing some years later. Oh! sorry that's just the noise of the
one remaining brain cell trying to escape via left earhole. Who
needs energy when you can be a couch potato, and if even that's
too tiring why not become a couch crisp. Someone stop me please

Some of the more common components of energy drinks are not only Ginseng (panax or siberian), but taurine, guarana, and ginkgo baloba (though the ginkgo is reputedly used only for the heightened awareness - which is not medically proven).

red bull gives me tons of energy. I drink it before workouts and when I have to study late. I have noticed it curves my appetite too. you should try it. It works!

i tried it and it tastes like sugar i drink it to take the place of the excedrin that i was hooked on to give me the caffeine lift.but i i feel dizzy and weird after i drink it,sometimes i get scared to finish it thinking it will make my headaches worse.

I started this thread (took me awhile to realize it had been revived). I tried Red Bull and it was okay but I haven't bought anymore. I do now keep a couple of cans in the car for when I'm driving home late at night and get sleepy. I figure it can't hurt.

I have had this drink many of times... The last time I had it, my heart started racing so fast and I had a hard time breathing... I really depend on energy drinks throughout my daily routine, so I had to find something to keep my energy level up, so one day I met this new guy at work and he introduced me to this energy drink called XS, I thought it was going to be like Red Bull, but I was way wrong. I had Red Bull once. Smelt and tasted disgusting, but I was bouncing off the ceiling for the rest of the night!
Never again though. Foul stuff.

There is a diet/suger free type of redbull available now, had it a few times, bit less of a buzz and the taste is not so overpowering.

Hey....I think Red Bull is awesome. I have fibromyalgia and have had no energy, just felt like sleeping all of the time. I started drinking this last week. I can tell a huge difference. It has vitamin B12 and vitamin B6. And that's exactly what it tastes like, the liquid vitamin B12 sublingual. It is very expensive, but if it works thats all I care about. Don't knock it til you try it!!

REDBULL TASTES SOOOOOO GOOD..BELEIVE IT OR NOT..IM DRINKING RED BULL RIGHT NOW..

i hate it when its cold..i like it worm..NOT HOT...just normal..so i can swallow..swallow..swallow..no BREATHING:p

I have tried Red Bull and I like it. I bought it this weekend and drank one 30 minutes before I did my treadmill work out. It boosted my endurance level. I drank one this morning along with breakfast before going to work. Here it is the afternoon and I still feel energized.   I bought a case (24 cans) of Red Bull for $31.00 at a BJ store. It comes out to $1.30 a can. I think it is a good investment. I would drink no more than 1 to 2 cans a day. It gave me a great energy boost.

no xs sucks so stop trying to advertise it! red bull is ideal for me when i have to sit in front of a computer screen typing away for 4 hours non-stop.. keeps me awake and it also relaxes my food intake.. don't feel so hungry after i drink it which is a plus!! :)

Why drink Red Bull? Cause all your friends do it? Come on... I have had Red Bull many of times, it taste gross and it gets your heart pumping so fast. It may be ideal for you, however XS actually is good for you and it gives you energy.

I had my first energy drink the other night - a can of rockstar - 30 minutes later I passed out, stopped breathing, went into full body convulstions/seizure, puked, came to and luckily walked away otherwise unharmed but extremely freaked out by the experience. Those who witnessed it called 911. I would caution against consuming these types of beverages!

I like sugary, high caffiene, unhealthy things...so you can imagine how excited i was when Red Bull appeared on the market. I like it, even the taste. A word of warning, though- do not, under any circumstances, allow children anywhere near the stuff. It turns them into raging hyperactive demons faster than you can say 'sugar rush'...
