Is anybody on this forum going to the Schroon Lake Folk Festival that is taking place on Sunday, August 8th at the Boat House in Schroon, Lake, N.Y. ? It is supposed to be from 12 Noon until 5 PM and is absolutely free. I know that Atwater-Donnelly is appearing, which I got from their website. I am trying to find out who else is appearing on the program that day to see whether it pays to make the 4 hour trip, if my old 1987 van will make it that far. Any information would be appreciated. Besides A/D, they have Peggy Lynn, Dan Duggan, and Dan Berggren (a/k/a the "three 2g's"), who are good; and Too Tall String Band, whom I'm not familiar with.

I'm surprised Chris Shaw and Bridget Ball aren't there. They've done it nearly every year. But now Chris is doing workshops for TGTDNSIN pretty much full time, and Bridget is an investment counselor, so maybe they couldn't fit it in.

But the Schroo'n is always good.
