Clearance for the next gathering at Farlington due to the response to last fridays fun.

Any ideas on dates for anyone? Beast suggested Bank Holiday but Ben would have one pretty much anytime - sooner or later (I think he was keen sooner...) A whole weekend is definitely an option if the demand is there - though I sense a little pacing might be sensible to get people past saturday lunchtime ( !! ). I will send a musical remembrance of the weekend to whoever gets the closest to how many pints were consumed on the night.

Look forward to the next one. Same idea - friday through till whenever. Singaround format. And a determined effort to balance singing and playing which I lost control of.

If we sort a date presumably we can then change the subject or start a new thread?

What with August been very busy, fetivals, holidays and that I will start the ball rolling by suggesting the first weekend in september. That is the friday third of sept.

I can slot in any old time, but Fiiley festival is on friday 30thJULY, and whitby is back end of AUGUST. And we must get the infamous jOhn from Hull there next time.
As for the number of pints processed, I reckon 240, based on the fact that I spent 80 bloody quid in the pub that weekend!!!!!!!!!

yes i think that this idea could take off, of having a folk club, and then also people that cant make it on the phone singing, you could plug the phone into a speaker so everyone could hear it.

i might be driving by september if i dont kill my instructor by then, so if i am ill come.

They both work for BP Mick, I think it's one of those full weekend middle management "bonding/knitting" kind of courses. Outward bound and all that, but in four star acommodation at the taxpayers expense.

Mick/El Ted, minor correction to the above. When BP are paying it would be SIX star accommodation, you wouldn't catch us sleeping in a tent pitched in a beer garden.
