The weather forcast looks good so get out those picnic sets and hurry along to West Ham Park in London this Sunday (25th) for a FREE concert on the bandstand from the Flying Chaucers. We'll be playing between 3-5pm. Its a really nice little park and if you live south of the river you can combine it with a scenic trip on the Woolwich Ferry. In fact last year our melodeon player entertained the passengers on the homeward journey with a tear jerking rendition off danny Boy on the Swannee Whistle - an experience once heard never forgotten ...but don't mention the top note!

Depending on whether the Limpit brat has been good or not and whether I can get them out the house, you might get a couple more......

She'll be the one saying 'is it nearly over yet' and 'can we go home now' whilst being sat on and gagged.

Well blow me down - I went to your web site and found out that I know you!
Do you remember calling with the Angel Band in a church ceilidh at Windsor a few years ago, at short notice because our booked caller wasn't well?

Out in mid East Anglia now, can't make your park gig but I hope you get decent weather and an appreciative audience.

I do remember... I think ... wasn't that the one with all the morris dancers or is my memory fading???? It was a good evening I recall. Small world eh? Are you still playing in a band out in those eastern parts?

There may well have been morris dancers - the band was formed from Angel Morris. The gig was being run by a member of the morris team (who lives locally) and we played lots there because of that connection and sometimes got the team in to dance too.

Yes, Mary and I are in Cambridge based band Fendragon and also in one whose other three members live in or near Huddersfield (really!) - that's English Rebellion
- and that's apart from all our songs and tunes work as a clubs-and-festivals duo.

Saw Manitas at the back talking to Leadfingers but didn't get the chance to say hello. Good to see you - albeit only from the car. Come and see us Parliament Hill Fields at the end of August.
