"The Coxford Singlish Dictionary, a compendium of Singapore slang, at Talkingcock.com/html/lexec.php :
Singlish

Found this website while looking up the various uses and meanings of 'ching chong,' both in the English-speaking world and in Asia.

In Singapore:
Ching-chong- a derogatory term for someone who is very 'cheena.' Usually used with the suffix 'Chinaman.' There is probably a shade of difference between 'ching-chong' and 'cheena' but it is subtle, 'Ching-chong' tends to be comical, whereas 'cheena' tends more on the sleazy.

"You don'ch know meh? His father very ching-chong Chinaman one, always wearing pajamas at home."

Cheena- a perjorative term, used to describe a 'mainlander,' a Chinese national, a minor 'foreign talent' with the implied attributes of opportunism, rudeness and boorishness." "....popularly used to label a new generation of Chinese immigrants who have arrived in Singapore to seek their fortunes.
Cheena gherk-used by Peranakans (citizens of Malay origin) to suggest something is low class- probably from "China."

Perjorative, discriminatory expressions are common to all peoples. Southeast Asians, with a rapidly evolving econonic and social structure, are probably the most inventive practitioners at this time.

A section of a website with Hong Kong slang that I have used has been removed (censored?). I need to find another.
