Well here we are at the end of the season and the last "official" Tuesday collection for ARC at The Steamer on the 2nd November.

The grand total for the year so far?    £3501.98

Extra thanks must go to the customers at The Shovels Pub, where we were playing last night with The Scuttlebugs, who put £70.00 into an impromptu collection between sets.

Still more events to come, so it's looking good, thanks to everyone, staff, musicians, helpers and especially everyone who has made a donation.

CURRENT TOTAL: £3289.53 (£230.47 to double last Years)

Well looks like we'll double last years total, two more Tuesdays to go, plus Christmas and a Mini Folk Fest at Easter next year, on top of that they've been holding a Whisky Bottle collection at The Princess Pub plus one of the artist has promised to put £1 in for every CD he sells and they're suggesting a "Charity Star Line-up" evening - Hey, maybe we should up it to £4,000.00?

Many thanks to everyone for their support,

Tomorrow: Dave Enright (Scuttlebugs) has promised a visit.

Christmas: Don't miss "Bod" Ron leading us in some Christmas songs!

Half Term for Schools next week, so we may have Scuttlebugs "Dave" doing a set (26/10/04).

Cheers Mr Sooze & Alan - glad things are coming together with the VAx - I would have hated my enthusiasm to have convinced you to buy something that wasn't up to your requirements. I set mine up at FFF for the final concert but didn't get near it - $#$$%S Banjo had all the fun :O)! Maybe you'll get across to t'pool again sometime and we can do a VAx Duo?

Thanks to everyone who has been along to the Steamer, made donations through the Website or at the other venues we've collected at:

Last years Total of £1760.00 has now been passed and this years collection stands at: £1821.95

But we don't want to stop there, do we? - we've still got "Phone a Friend" and "Ask the Audience" plus another two and a half months at The Steamer (including Fylde Folk Festival)

so the new Target is £2,500.00 - is that too easy?

P.B.

   - what could be nicer than sitting in a nice dry pub, a pint in your hand, a nice meal in front of you and a bit of traditional Lancashire Fun and Music.

current total: £1707.40 last years total will hopefully be beaten tomorrow.

We'll raise a pint to you at Fylde and hope your back with us in 2005. We were across in Coventry the other week to pick up a PA system but didn't have a chance to explore (didn't even get to have a pint!), but did get top try the Toll road out - is it always sunny?

cheers

Greetings one and all,

Last year we set about raising some money for ARC(arthritis Research Campaign) in conjunction with Gordon Giltrap's incentive "Make Music Live" With the help of locals, visitor and several Mudcatters we managed to raise £1760.00. The Tuesday lunchtime events held at The Steamer at Fleetwood were such good fun and so successful we've arranged to hold them again this year. The dates are as follows...

Location:-

The Steamer Hotel
(Map link for the Steamer)

1-2 Queen's Terrace ,
Fleetwood, Lancashire,
FY7 6BT .
Tel: 01253 771756

Dates & Time:

Every Tuesday 11.30am to 2.30pm
(from May 25th 2004 till the end of the season)

If you find yourself in the Fylde area of England on a Tuesday, why not pop along, it's a lovely venue, with good ale, and food and all in aid of a good cause.

Any singers musicians who would like to "do a set" just let us know, you'll be more than welcome (and thanks to those - you know who you are - that played last year)

Hopefully we'll see some of you throughout the year?

For those of you who don't know Fleetwood (the home of The Fylde Folk Festival) it's just up the coast from that quiet seaside village of Blackpool.

Penny Black,
