The next monthly chantey sing at San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, aboard the historic full-rigged ship Balclutha, berthed at Hyde Street Pier, will be on Saturday, August 7, from 8pm to midnight. Free admission, but reservations required. To reserve, just call the ranger office at (415) 556-6435. Enter anytime after 7:30pm.

This is a session of chanteys and other sea songs. All are welcome to lead songs. Hot non-alcoholic drinks are served from the ship's galley (chanteys and NON-alcoholic drinks, I hear you say? Well, it's in a national park).

Any 'Catters (or friends of yours) who might be in the bay area this weekend, come on down.

This is a good'n.

If I didn't have to get up early the next morning to travel to the Great Central Valley to sing the national anthem at the Stanislaus County Fair Draft Horse and Oxen Pull, I'd be there.

Yee ha.
