Is anyone familar with the British documentary about the history of country music called "Lost Highway" ? The first episode tonight on the CMT cable channel sounds particularly interesting.

Here's the preview from www.cmt.com -

"Until the first recordings of the Carter Family and Jimmie Rodgers, the mountain music of Kentucky and Virginia was limited to rural communities. My recollection of this documentary is that it is a bio of Hank Williams. I stand to be corrected---though it is terrific.

If Lost Highway (the stage presentation) ever comes your way do not miss it. It truly captures Hank W and the performer (whom I saw) Jason Petty just becomes Williams before your eyes. Great staging too.
