Finally culminating in the Victorian era with a poem written for the Queen's jubilee-"Lest We Forget". This is not a lecture, it is a multimedia entertainment, enjoy the songs & join in the choruses! What a fantastic programme of events you've put together Dave & Kate, we're in for a wonderful weekend. The fact that the regulars, those of us that still remember Stanford in the Vale, go mainly for the camaraderie and the socialising and would be there anyway is a mute point. It must be the friendliest, most laid back festival going. We're looking forward to introducing 'Finney' to the event!
ps
If anyone sees a dark Green Renault Scenic KG52UYZ, please let me know, it got nicked a week ago!

White Horse FF is held in and around the (large) village of Grove,
it is situated approx 1/2 way between Swindon & Oxford on the A417 just next to Wantage.

The nearest train station is Didcot.

Hope you can join us,

Regards Skipy

Skipy in answer to your query "What is a Fesatival?"

Its a:
"Finger Exercise At Six Am To Inform Volks (we're off to Austria soon - yippee) About Leisure" - or, definition - it's the Webwriter punching frantically on the keyboard at 6 am in the morning whilst wife (me) in bed awaiting coffee and dog sat by frontdoor desperate for walkies - and he has to get out to work by 7.15!

Pointed out finger error to him when he returned from work at 11.15 PM last night and it has been amended this morning. See you Friday at your wonderful leisure activitiy - Fesatival.

Hi Skipy!

Blue link as requested Dave although it doesn't test out when tested -I'll put it in anyway and hopefully it'll work when up on Mudcat.

The White Horse Folk Festival

I'm looking forward to it and after the week we're having I'm sure Pearl will as well. We'll tell you about it when we get there, if nothing gets in our way...

See you Friday, I think that first pint is going to last about 0.5 seconds!

Click here for a nice practice thread, and practice all you want. You can also use our "preview" function in any thread to test links and other HTML. Also give our "make a link" utility a try.
You can do it, if you believe you can do it.

Hope it works as a 'blue clicky' - should take you straight to programme page. If not go to web site www.wayaway.co.uk and there is a link on the page.

Polly.

Thanks for the pm Joe (Offer), suddenly the blue clicky seems to work. Not sure what I was doing wrong, or not doing. Any way here's another link to an organisation that runs events in Grove, the home of WHFF.
Visit the Folk for M.S. website
OK it's a gratuitous refresh (and a test of the blue clicky)

Thanks all (but especially Dave and Kate, and the Admiral and Mrs Admiral), for a brilliant singaround in the Bell this afternoon.

And it's nice to know that Maryeagle is now properly married, because we've sung the Wedding Song to her at the "now some of us are 50" BBQ!

I'm sorry I could only manage a day trip, but it was a lovely break.

Kitty
