Only three turned up plus Carole - AKA audience and alternative MC. We had a 'practice' evening that was quite enjoyable.

I'm in Newark for my grandson's fourth birthday on the 3rd but might make Saturday on the way up (with a detour). I'll see if my daughter hasn't got me down for anything before hand.

Next one's in a fortnight's time - we're going to keep going until we get some interest and the acoustics in the room are wonderful for singers.

jacqui,c....no idea why, but I thought you were American...anyway, will not go into that...Gainsborough Folk Club...Singaround is on the 3rd, from 8.30 at the Drovers Call on Lea Road, which is the road towards Lincoln. Newark is only about 22 miles from us..Club also attended by Strollin' Johnny, Travelling Audience, Villan, Sooz and her husband( who run the club) and Lizabeth. Good chance to meet if not too involved with other things....leave it with you.

Not sure on that - I live in Hertford - 100 miles down south from Newark and have to get back for work on Monday morning.

With any luck I should be stopping work in the next few months, prior to a move to the States and may be staying in Newark for a short while before going. I'll post once I know when and if you've got a session going will try to make it - along with Kendall, in all probability.

Linda and I must try to get there sometime, Carol - but it is a bit of a drive for a weekday evening and it's not a night that Tom usually goes to his dad's. If I came on my own, Kendall might get jealous !
