Last weekend (Aug 9th) there was a massive fundraising concert to help the people of Peterborough, Ontario who were recently the victims of extensive flooding due to a series of torrential rainstorms that just would not quit.

To those who might be interested in helping further, there is an entirely separate effort taking place this coming Saturday August 14th in Oakville, Ontario. Your presence, to enjoy a day of music; perhaps contributions of goods as well, would be most appreciated.

AUGUST 14, Saturday      A CONCERT TO BENEFIT THE FLOOD VICTIMS OF PETERBOROUGH

at the KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS HALL, 1494 WALLACE ROAD, OAKVILLE
NOON TO 11:00 PM

Presented by The White Oak Folk Club, with the generous help of the Oakville Knights of Columbus & the Oakville Salvation Army, along with numerous other supportive sponsors
100 % of ticket and raffle sales will go to the Salvation Army for distribution to the people of Peterborough
$0.00 overhead

A DOZEN TALENTED GROUPS, FOLK, BLUEGRASS, COUNTRY, BLUES AND JAZZ ARE DONATING THEIR TIME FOR THE CAUSE
DONATIONS OF CLOTHING, FURNITURE, TOOLS, NON PERISHABLE FOOD AND OTHER ITEMS NEEDED TO HELP THE PEOPLE OF PETERBOROUGH WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE HALL, FROM 9:00 am UNTIL THE END OF THE CONCERT.

OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE $15,000.00 IN CASH AND A 5 TON TRUCK FULL OF USEFUL GOODS. LETS SHOW EVERYONE HOW MUCH OAKVILLE AND HALTON CARE
