Soz will be in Ireland. WOuld love to go to Bridgnorth again as its only down the road from me (8 miles, but it always clashes with the Fleadh.

Have a great time all that go.... and remember its the Jackfield festival the following weekend. Down river from Ironbridge. Top of bill is Froggie... Raymond Froggatt. Nice Mr Bill Caddick and his RIverbillies and a lot of others. I will definitely be there, plus several friends who are camping on my livingroom floor.Id better give the dog some charcoal bikkies before they arrive.

cheers
fliss

I'll ditto that Abuwood...

Ian and Fi are not only super-nice, but they run an excellent session. I believe they will be located at the Holyhead throughout most of the festival.

Huroo for them!

On the subject of fine weather, I should point out that moonunit went to Boscastle on holiday last week and look what happened within an hour of her arrival! I shall be pitching my tent in High Town!

Um, I do seem to have a freakish ability to make places previously impervious to water-based disaster, flood like never before. Methinks High Town may not be safe.
Reckon I could start charging holiday destinations to avoid them.

Who'll start me at £50 (I'll even NOT bring my bombarde – now there's a bargain...)

The best thing that could happen to your bombarde is a flood!

Has anyone noticed the weather today (Tues)Bloody sunny and warm isn't it! If this is God's idea of a joke, it's in very bad taste. I sold 200 cups of lemonades less than last year, because it was cold, wet and very windy. Food was good tho' wasn't it.

My only complaint was that Cloudstreet weren't on more often! They were the highlight of the festival.

My first Bridgnorth - I only went for the Sunday, but thoroughly enjoyed the sessions in the Old Castle. Next time, I'll try to spread myself a bit...

Oh thank you, pdcawley, that's very nice of you to say so. You didn't sign my guest book did you? Are you going to Bromyard? You can sign it there.

Why were Cloudstreet not in the main Marquee or Sabrina Hall this year??

They've been booked for next year I'm told. Let's have them out of the overcrowded pubs and on to the main stage where we can all get a chance to hear them and breath at the same time!

Mostly enjoyed a good balance of music, though too many folk-rock bands for my personal taste. Food (Maureen and Eddie's Caribbean cuisine always a "must") delicious and great lemonade, Mrs Lemon.

Looking forward to next year

Ms Lemon. I did sign your guest book. But I didn't sign it as pdcawley. Bromyard looks unlikely.

Yes I agree there were far too many folk-rock bands (more rock than folk usually). Generally everything I went to in the marquee was much too loud and the lighting was horribly migraine inducing. Sabrina Hall was much more to my taste even though it was so hot. I was terribly disappointed with the Damien Barber Roadshow. Damien is a fine singer and Bryony an excellent fiddle player but I couldn't hear the words of the songs and I couldn't hear the box player because of the horrid loud drums.

Thank you Moses for your compliments. I wasn't very happy with the Caribbean caterers because they switched on the very noisy generator at 8am and didn't switch it off until 2.30am. We managed to sort out the generator noise at Warwick so please, Alan and Sandra, can we have less engine and more music to the caterers/stall holders ears?

Sal
