The evening started with "Dacapo" who really got things warmed up for "Bob Fox" who is not just an excellent Folk Singer but a "great act" as well.
The second half heralded the appearance of "John Blanks" who was his usual very professional and entertaining self, followed by the well known and versatile "Stitherum" who entertained and sung.
"Bob Fox" then came back on to round off the evening.
The whole thing was well organised..Thanks Les. It was a pleasure to see Mo....(one half of Travelling Audience) back in circulation after her operation and we wish her all the best for a rapid recovery.
Best wishes.

Hey Georgian and everyone else thanks for all the good wishes since my stay in hospital. Must go and have another nap now, last night's gig really has made me very weary today.

Mo.

We are very glad that we went to see Bob Fox, he is certainly a brilliant artiste (bought the CD!). He was supported by three other very good acts that we always like to listen to. Excellent night!

TA

I am here.
Recovering from last night and today (Market Rasen Music Weekend - I was the organiser).

Last night was very good. Bob Fox was something special - He is so humble and a match to Mrs Sooz and her dialect LOL :-). What a funny man as well.

That does not detract from the wonderful support of DACAPO, John Blanks and Stitherum. SJ and MR & Mrs Sooz - sorry if I had to make you work under tight time restrictions, but it isn't very often that you get somebody like Bob Fox to visit Lincolnshire and it stopped Mr Sooz from telling his sausage joke LMAO :-)

In total there were 45 people in the hall, and I think that was excellent, if you consider that it was the bank holiday weekend and that the Olympics were on.

Its always a bit risky opening during the summer period, but I have to say that people have done me proud by turning up for each event.

I had a lovely e-mail from a couple who visited Market Rasen Folk Club last night for the first time. Whilst people like what they get, it makes it worthwhile putting the effort in.

Dear Les,
Last night's gig was wonderful and you have a terrific venue, I like
small halls if possible they are more personable. I enjoyed every
group and of course Bob Fox was even better then the times I heard him on BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
Keep up the good work and hope to make it to some other gigs. For sure
I need 2 tickets for John Conolly which I know you have taken care of
for me.
End of Quote
