NC Chapel Hill/Durham Mudcatters...

The Shivers are coming to play for our own Dani at the James Pharmacy Restaurant in Hillbourough, NC. on Saturday, Sept. 4th at 9:00pm.
Please come and meet up with us for dinner and the show. We'd love, with Dani's permission, to have folks join us for a bit of a session when we're done with the concert, so bring a song or a tune, or just bring yourselves to make aquaintance.

From I-40 or I-85, go north on Churton St. (Old 86,turns into 86)

Go past the car dealers and fast food, over the bridge, and into the historic part of town. Look for the Courthouses on your right.

Turn left at the light onto King St.- after the bridge it's the second light. Take a quick right into the town parking lot: be careful, the second entry is the in-way, not the first !

The James Pharmacy Restaurant faces N. Churton Street. If you park in the town lot, you'll see our blue awning and deck at the back entrance. It's nicer to walk around the front, through the brick alley, but you can come in the back door if necessary.

Anyway, YES! It will be such a treat to hear these guys. It's a small place in a small town, but the welcome is warm and the food is good.

Chance and Suzette play at 9pm, 'til whenever. If some other folks want to come make music, we'll push back the furniture and have a ball!

Rats! As seems to happen so often when a Catter is coming through, I'll be out of town (with 'Catter Annie). I'll be there in spirit, though. So sorry to be missing this.

Wall, I'll be up thar Sept 21 for a few days. Mostly I look for song circles & kitchen tables to share songs.

I know about Folk-jam at Reagan Cole's but not anything else. I'm enerally available for a beer, though.

Yes, yes, yes, we had SOME fun with Dani at James Pharmacy last night. Dani and her two daughters and James the waiter made us feel like VIPs.

We showed up early and did a sound check, and came back later for dinner. We sat up front in a very cool booth in the window and drank Carolina Lights while the piano player played classical stuff.

Dani served up a Mahi-Mahi baked in the house barbeque sauce that was tremendous.

Dani sparked the local Old Time Music show at WUNC and they played cuts from our CD "On The Air" and brought in some folks to hear us.

We greatly enjoyed playing for the folks; very relaxed and intimate.

All in all don't pass up a chance to visit Dani at James Pharmacy while she's still there. She is a joy.
