Sometimes that nice box comes to the thread screen that shows how many are in Mudchat. I wonder if it is possible to keep it up permanently. Quite often you just enter Mudchat just as someone else has left...this would help get more people in and save some missed visits. mg

At the top of any page that has the little drop down box at the top with "Quick links" showing, you can open it and quickly see just how many are in Mudchat. Of course it is only as up to date as the time you downloaded that page.

Hey, I didn't know that. Clever feature, eh?
I know some people would prefer to have various features visible on the Forum Menu page, but the page is quite full now and more stuff would be confusing. So, losts of that stuff goes in the quickLinks dropdown menu. The one thing I don't like about QuickLinks, is that it doesn't allow you to open its choices in new windows.

There is a way Joe - With IE you look at top of the IE Window - click on File - New - Window. You get a copy of the current Window. If you want something at the top of the page, such as 'Create new thread' or something in the "Quick links" drop down list, you can hit the Stop button as soon as it is visible, then with that page as displayed to open the new thread, or the drop down window.

There are probably similar tricks in other browsers.

In IE I use Ctrl-N to open a new window, then click on the links box.

Ya, but CTRL-N is slow. I want perfection. Opening in a new window is faster, and far more elegant...
