Just got back from Wadebridge Folk Festival in Cornwall, A great weekend, Just wondering if there were any other 'catters there - I know Cats was there, but I did not come across many others, Some were at Whitby, I know, but there were loads of people there, so were any of you 'catters? What did you think of the festival?
I thought it was much better than last year, the weekend ending was brilliant, and the atmosphere was good too. The campsite bus worked excellently too. Well done committee, last year my moans outweighed my positives, this year it is the other way round. I'll look forward to next year!
Cheers, Lucy

Yes was at the Cornwall folk Fest this year stewarding and had a great time fell in with the usual suspects in the ship what a great venue for singing the old songs and playing and generally having fun. As for the busses many thanx to the hard pressed stewards that ran for hours on end you all deserved your pint of knoker or tribute or doom lads. Off to the Trewarmett Inn this weekend for their mini fest and beer fest most of the "usual suspects " will be going I hope

Also try sneaking into England next year to the Dartmoor Folk Festival its a wonderful friendly little festival

Yes, we were there. Wasn't the reception Unsung Heroes got superb!!!! Moira Craig was on good form too.

Peter -if you are venturing into England, Dartmoor is a cracking little festival, a bit like Towersey was when it started, you know,   a village fete with a festival tacked on. Also try the Fox and Hounds weekend of singing at Bridestowe in May for a good sing with loads more of the usual suspects.

Yes Kathy, a Brilliant reception for Heroes, It was the first time I have ever used amicrophone live and I was not keen or happy to do so, but after the first 2 songs I got used to it and actually quite liked it!
How kind the audience were to us! A standing ovation! And for those of you who were at the performance, the collection for Boscastle totalled £175.67, so thank you all on their behalf, there was a lady there from Boscastle who was extremely grateful for all that people are doing to help them, so I pass it on, it is much appreciated.
Cheers, Lucy
