Myrtle was thrust into the arena in which there were at least seven hungry lions. She felt from deep inside that this must be the end of her wonderful life and started looking back over her musical career.
Life had been good to her but now it was about to come to an abrupt end and in such a painful way..she hoped that her death would be quick. A lion came bounding towards her and took a huge bite at her neck....then she woke up...the dream was over...she had been spared........... See you on Friday Myrtle!!! Glad you were spared.

Take the A1133 from Newark to Gainsborough. This will eventually bring you onto the A156 north west of Lincoln.

Key villages on route
A1133 Collingham, Besthorpe, North Clifton, Newton on Trent, Laughterton
A156 Torksey, Marton, Gate Burton, Knaith, Lea

Once you are through Lea and come into Gainsborugh outskirts, you need to be looking for "The Drovers Call" on your left. It is a biggish pub, and difficult to miss.

If you go past Gainsborough Lea Road railway station, you have gone too far

Time - fairly slow roads - winding, twisting - so an estimate would be, if you set off at 7:15, you would be there between 8:00 to 8:15 depending on how quick you drive and road conditions. Bear in mind it is harvesting time up here, so tractor vehicles are the norm on the road at this time of the year. Take care - many a person killed getting frustrated and overtaking them at the wrong point.
