Yes, Tradsinger was there, as was Croc (not on the group photo as she was MC-ing with Vectis at the time)

Gervase and MJ turned up to the survivors session at the Windsor on Monday afternoon, as did Lady Policeman and Bill. And that is an official part of Miskin at Easter, isn't it?

T'was a real shame not all the Catters knew about the MudShoot organised by Phot, but perhaps the notice-board wasn't noticed as it was situated on the way to the bar - maybe another time it could be 'in' the bar! I have suggested to Phot that perhaps his digital dark-room could add in some photo CatCut-outs to the main picture. As I recall, he laughed.....

Super weekend. A big round of applause for Miskin Man, Avril Betts ( was that really she? ) and all the stewards for all the hard work and organisation that went into it.
Highlight for me was dancing Border morris for the first time. It was great to see the children having fun and being a central part of the Sunday festivities. Jan's van and her helpers did a fantastic job.

HI all, Many thanks to Andy and all the team who put on this fantastic festival. Pixie and I had a brilliant time, and not too bad a hangover! I took over 250 images, so I'll have my work cut out in the digital darkroom for a bit, but I'll put the best selection on the Cat as soon as I can. Jack is a very poorly puppy after Mrs Duck fed him the best part of a bottle of Jamersons! And that was after spending the night in the bar after closing time!!

Actually there was a surprisingly large number of Catters who didn't make it into the photo...including my daughter! Looked everywhere for her too.. DuellingBouzoukis and Moonunit were with two others, none of whom were aware of the photo shoot. Shall we do it again next year, but publicise the time on here beforehand?

Happy irthday Andy - what better way to celebrate than by knowing you have made so many people happy!

It was a brilliant weekend - I'm off to try and find Harriet's site next, because that hlaf hour was true magic. I can't put it any better than Ian - make me deaf now, I've heard heaven!

But can someone tell me the names of all the tunes we played for the Miskin Link side, and at the Scratch Ceilidh, so that I can start work on arrangements for the plumbing?

My ticket is booked for next year!

Fabulous!!! What can I say (having only 5 minutes lunch-break left)?? Loved every second, including the hangovers & scrubbing the kitchen on Monday!

Thanks to AllCats for all the help & support for the MudRaffle - not to mention all the Fab prizes! We managed to raise £313.13 (a numeric palindrome which only needed the extra 3p popping in) for the Rose Road Association. It was handed to 'Michael's Mum' who was absolutely delighted and will be trying to find her way in here to thank us all personally. The last unclaimed raffle prize (the lovely liquer chocolate egg) was handed over too for Michael (over 18) to enjoy. A fitting end to a really enjoyable bit of fund-raising. Thanks again everyone who came, gave, helped & didn't get pissed off at my novice sales techniques......

Will pop in later (if I can find my way) to post the MudSigner List - what an enormous amount of Catters there were.. I can't imagine how they all managed to get in the MudShoot!!

My highlights:

Jon Heslop & Kathy Wallis in the Cottage Saturday teatime - passionate.
Mary Humphries & Anahata - new to me and so entertaining.
The magnificent work done by Jan the Van and her crew for the parade - the dragon and hobby horses. Plus the the triple pipes of Vicky, Johnny and Colman leading the parade.
The quiet sessions upstairs where you could sing or play what you wanted rather than do crowd-pleasers.
Luasca (Harriet Earlis & Colman Connolly) with Vicky Swan & Johnny Dyer sitting in. When quality musicians like these get together, they don't just jam, they produce something magical and exciting.
Jon Heslop again, Sunday late in Nelly Dean's - sorry, don't know what the song was, just loved the joyous harmony singing.

The old Miskin Magic has worked again - and better than ever before. Three days of wonderful fare for absolutely everyone - singers, dancers, musicians, kids, performers, spectators. And what a friendly bunch both providing and consuming all the offerings, under the expert and benign control of Andy Jillie and Jo.

And special thanks and hugs from me to the Lynnettes (Linnets?). When I made a request on Friday for Rock My Heart to be sung sometime over the weekend, little did I expect that it would lead to the formation of a new group to learn, rehearse and perform the song in time for Sunday night. Ladies, your performance was absolutely spine-tingling, and I am absolutely speechless that you would go to such lengths. You have made a happy man very old :-)

Miskin truly does go that extra mile. Many thanks to every one of you who came and helped to make the last four days one of the most magical times.

My first time too, but what a great time?   Miskin lived up to all I've heard about it & more!

Many, many thanks to Andy & all the lovely, friendly team. Nice people, great singing, lovely venue, such a nice easy-going, friendly event with time for me to meet even more nice people & to feel part of one big family. Hi to all I've met over the weekend.

(Keep at the Border Lynne) Anyone can join "Herbaceous Border" scratch morris ~ at festivals throughout the season ~ it's great fun! Looking forward to seeing some you soon at other festivals.

And you're right Jane, how could I have forgotten being carted about near the ceiling by various large men in Nelly Dean's while trying to sing! I think I managed it though!

Yes, the kids had a wonderful time too...they really enjoyed their first go at Stewarding and have every intention of doing it again next year.

Lynne, you missed out being hoisted aloft by burly men midsong! Absolutely fantastic weekend. We are no longer virgins and will be doing it all again next year. Thanks Andy and everyone that made this such a fun filled festival. I don't remember having such a hassle free weekend since the twins arrived; they and Maddie loved every minute of it. Severe post-festival depression setting in already! A most fantastic weekend altogether (apart from rides in ambulances and waiting in A&E!) I don't think I've ever fitted quite so much into one short festival! In four days I've sung, played, run a folk club, danced border Morris for the first time, watched three lots of friends performing, danced in a 'scratch' ceilidh, played Pooh sticks, Walked across a bridge parapet, played lots of cool games around Jan's van, drunk a lot of cider, hugged loads of people, talked quite a lot, laughed, been part of the dragon in a procession, learnt practised and sung a song I'd never heard before with three others doing harmonies and things...... I didn't actually get time to SLEEP much, but you can't have everything!

I also met a good number of Mudcatters I've never met before who are now on my ever-growing list of friends.

Andy and all the team..thank you sooooomuch. It was truly brilliant. I think for the first time in 23 years, a festival has actually eclipsed Sidmouth for me!! There is no higher compliment.
