And then there was the little food place that John from Hull would have been proud to work in - painted all black, it was called 'The Taik Hawaii' (try an Aussie nasal voice...) Unfortunately, both shops are now out of business... Crew going on and off watch would often hang their foul weather kit on the hooks outside the wardroom. So they put up a sign saying 'For Officers Only!' Fleetwood once had an abundance of very odd signs which we used to visit every Fylde Festival. On the pier - This pier is open all year round from November 1st. On the public toilets near the North Euston - These toilets are fitted with anti-climb. On the window of an office in the market hall - This is not a ladies toilet and the crowning glory, again in the market hall - Disabled toilets in Birdcage Thie mind boggles...:-) Cheers DtG |
