next week is "mayberry days" in mt.airy,n.c.!sept.,23,24,25!
beginning thursday evening at 6:00pm,edt,a picnic at the andy griffith theater for everyone!(bring a covered dish)and eat til your tummy pops! next,a big jam session afterwards on the outdoor stage for anyone who wants to participate,til 10:00pm,edt! then on friday morning,Andy Griffith ,will be in town to help dedicate a statue of "sherrif taylor and opie",on the way to the fishing hole!the statue was given to the town by TV LAND cable channel! this takes place in town around 10:00am,edt! then more music(old-time and blue grass) all day long on the outdoor stage! and on saturday,more music(old-time and blue grass) and it's all free,folks!music at the downtown cinema,9:00am to 11:00 am,edt,with the weekly saturday morning jam session!
at 11:00 am to 1:30pm,edt,the WPAQ merry-go-round,featuring live blue grass and ole-time music! it's also free to the public!(it's also one of the longest LIVE radio shows still on the air,since 1948!)
