Subject: RE: BS: Holy Grail found in Hertfordshire? From: GUEST,Keith A at work. Date: 22 Sep 04 - 07:19 AM Aftre two flippant posts I would say that there are several old Templar sites in the area, and Hertford was a centre of activity. Templars were imprisoned in Hertford Castle when the movement was proscribed. That activity here persists into modern times could suggest a physical link in the area. The Templars were once the wealthiest organisation in Christendom, and the treasure disappeared with them when they went underground. Who knows? Hertford also has a unique network of underground tunnels linking many old buildings incuding the castle. Keith. |

From: Mrs_Annie Date: 22 Sep 04 - 09:46 AM Nobody EVER mentions the sheela-na-gig which is also in the Royston Cave (doesn't fit in with their theories). More info see sheelanagig.org (yes! I made a blue clicky!) Annie (born and still living in Royston) |

Subject: RE: BS: Holy Grail found in Hertfordshire? From: Pied Piper Date: 22 Sep 04 - 10:55 AM Great site Annie, I think it's a bit like when you see pictures of the Gundestrup Cauldron in books about Celtic mythology, they never show you the panel with the Elephant. TTFN PP |

Subject: RE: BS: Holy Grail found in Hertfordshire? From: GUEST,Grail Historian Date: 22 Sep 04 - 05:50 PM The message from "Raymond Brown at the Mercury" sounds ominous: "More will be revealed in the hunt for the Grail in forthcoming articles in the Mercury..." More clues to the whereabouts of the Grail perhaps? I guess if it exists it had to be found sooner or later. I would like to hear more about what the Illuminati and the Knights Templar have to do with all of this. |

Subject: RE: BS: Holy Grail found in Hertfordshire? From: GUEST,Bean-Fidhleir Date: 23 Sep 04 - 07:54 PM Then there's the theory that, since the term 'Holy Grail' is a translation from French 'Sanct Graal', it actually started out as 'Sangue Royalle' (or similar) and hasn't anything to do with tableware. :-) |
Subject: RE: BS: Holy Grail found in Hertfordshire? From: Tweed Date: 24 Sep 04 - 09:41 AM I am not a smart man, by any means, but I allus thought the Grail were the blood line obv Christ and not a cup at all. Last I heared they was a fellow living in France who wabz descended from the Merivingians. That theory makes more sense to me az I don't figure the Templars would waste all thar time chasing and guarding a cup. |

Subject: RE: BS: Holy Grail found in Hertfordshire? From: Lighter Date: 24 Sep 04 - 03:26 PM "The Da Vinci Code" is partially inspired by the 20-year old book "Holy Blood, Holy Grail," by Michael Baigent, which is back in print. They call it "nonfiction," but I wouldn't go quite so far. |
