I am considered to be pretty damn good behind a mic, but I have to tell y'all that this man is amazing. Seamus and I have become pretty good friends over the past few years, and in spite of that, I have to brag on him. We both participated in the Michigan Irish Music festival, and late last night I got to watch his show start to finish. All's I can say is WOW!!!!!! I stand in complete admiration of his repertoire and delivery. This man is an awesome performer and friend.

Great seeing you this weekend, my friend.

I second that motion. I think I've seen Seamus about 5 times now, and let me tell you, I'm amazed every time. I haven't seen a man work a crowd like him since BB King. Seeing Seamus is a guaranteed good night out. I'm a fan. And I'm not just saying that cause I owe him money. He's a great musician and a great man.

Its TRUE, he's short and occasionally turns green. The YODA of comedic folk singers.

My friend, Seamus, is a brilliant performer. He can make everyone in the audience feel like he's singing a sad ballad just to them. And he can get a crowd of rowdy drunkards singing and pounding the table and actually believing they all have a bit of Irish blood in them.

I count myself fortunate to have him for a friend.

He made a true believer out of me and the Mrs. We also have a couple of his cds. I do not think that I have ever heard a performer mix his repertoire so well. He can have you busting a gut laughing one minute and bawling your eyes out the next.

Not a bad picker on that ol' Takemine, either.

Truly an extraordinary performer.

Mick, when I heard that you and Seamus were to be spending time together in MI this weekend I was very happy for BOTH of you!

Seamus has the audience in the palm of his hand from start to finish and even on his breaks!

And as I said in another thread...... "As always, Seamus was absolutely fabulous! Truly, folks, if you ever have the chance to attend one of Seamus's concerts, don't miss it. He's outstanding.......a very talented and very generous performer. And a LOT of fun, too! "

I have all his CDs and got to hear him yodel from a distance at the Getaway two years ago. Some day I will see him live. Meantime, I take your word for it.

I always try to catch a couple of sets at Long's Peak Highland games in Estes Park Colorado. And he says the Master is John McCutcheon.

I have learned so much about stage craft from both of them....

Go here for Seamus' website, and there is a link there to get on the mailing list for his appearances. Unfortunately for those of us away from the Maryland/Pennsylvania area, his trips west are few and far between (geographically, that is).
