Subject: Review: Mnémo Bulletin From: Q (Frank Staplin) Date: 24 Sep 04 - 03:51 PM The "Bulletin" printed by Mnémo in Canada is all in French, but their archives have articles of interest to folk musicians. In the on-line archives, I noticed: 1996- The fiddling music of Prince Edward Island, Celtic and Acadian tunes in living tradition. 1996- Musiciens traditionelles du Québec, 1920-1993. 1997- Du set au cotilion [dance, with some set figures]. Issues for 2001, etc., have more on dance. 1998- [Articles on dance in Qué'bec] 1998 Au-delà du reel [Introduction to traditional instrumental music of Québec]. 2002- [A review of vol. 1 of Kelly Russell's Collection, The Fiddle Music of Newfoundland and Labrador] And many more- http://www.mnemo.qc.ca/html/bulletin.html#anchorsommaire Bulletin |

I can't get www.mnemo.qc.ca to work on my address bar unless I use the slash following ca: www.mnemo.qc.ca/ Mnemo Click on French and then on Bulletin. |
