A friend of mine is going to be in the Boston Massachusets area from the 12th to the 15th of October and is looking for folk events , song
or dance which she could attend . I know this is fairly short notice
But I am hopeful that we can get some information in time . She is a
dancer who sings and supports her local folk club scene here in UK .

The Boston Center of the Country Dance & Song Soc. has Wed. night English (mostly Playford) dances. Info HERE

I don't see much song stuff happening, at least in the usual Boston calendars.

If your friend has access to transportation, Portsmouth NH is only about an hour North of Boston. The regular Friday session will be starting at 4:30 and going till 9:00. Newcomers always welcome -- Tom

PS - There are tune sessions in Boston, but the only Mudcatter I know who is familiar with them is Barry Finn and he's having computer problems.

Thanks Tom - My friend is NOT a musician and is looking for Song Sessions . She is going to Boston with a Dance Group .

We do a lot of singing at our sessions, more if there's a guest singer present. If there's a way to let me know if she'll be there, I'll try to hold a seat open -- Tom
