Subject: maritime music archive From: Davetnova Date: 30 Sep 04 - 10:20 AM OK I didn't find this, the link was posted on thesession.org (great site) but it's too good not to pass on here. Hundreds of MP3's abc's and notated tunes. I know what I'll be learning from for a while. http://www.cranfordpub.com/tunes/sample_tunes.htm |

Subject: RE: maritime music archive From: radriano Date: 30 Sep 04 - 11:31 AM Thanks for the link, Davetnova. I'm curious as to why you call this a "maritime" music archive. There's no particular emphasis on sea music - am I missing something? |

Subject: RE: maritime music archive From: GUEST,Obie Date: 30 Sep 04 - 11:36 AM This site is run by Paul Cranford out of Canada's Maritime Provinces. Paul is also a lighthouse keeper so it's all close to the sea. |

Subject: RE: maritime music archive From: Mooh Date: 30 Sep 04 - 11:37 AM Just printed off the Fly Fishing Reel to work on. (My only complaint is the size of the print, not that it can't be enlarged, but it sure would be nice if such sites would make the scores easier on my poor eyes.) I didn't know it. Thanks for the link. Peace, Mooh. |

Subject: RE: maritime music archive From: radriano Date: 01 Oct 04 - 11:29 AM Thanks Obie. Of course, Canada's Maritime Provinces. One thing to note is that a majority of the tunes on this site have authors although some of them certainly compose in a traditional style. |
