I don't see where this song is promoting or excusing "this behavior".

It seems to me that it could be a warning that "this behavior" results in the death of the perpetrator. So could be conceived as a story with a moral.

If you are only interested in morally good songs suitable for family entertainment then that is your choice. You might find something of interest to you if you listen to more of Ola Belle's material.

Have you ever known anybody who was murdered over casual sex? I have. It really brings home how stupid and vicious it is. Stabbed to death over a woman! His sons tried to race him to the hospital in time, but they couldn't save him.

Decent people shouldn't sing songs that promote or even excuse this behavior. That's what this song is doing.

This is a common theme song from crooks and abusers. "It wasn't my fault! In fact, nothing bad I do is ever my fault. She made me do it!"

And don't get me started on the logical weaknesses in "You were seen a-courting my best friend". Singing a song like this leads impressionable people to think that this rotten balderdash is reasonable.
