Subject: RE: C.F.Martin. Is there any E-mail adress From: GUEST, topsie Date: 04 Dec 14 - 01:21 PM One of the joys of Mudcat is that threads are still open after 16 years. So don't sneer, Guest. |
Subject: RE: C.F.Martin. Is there any E-mail adress From: Stewart Date: 04 Dec 14 - 12:07 PM Just phone them! Several years ago the bridge broke on my 1955 D18 I phoned Martin and a real person answered the phone. Within 5 min I had authorization for a free repair (as the original owner) Much better than email! The repair was done locally by a certified Martin luthier. What other company honors their original warranty after 50+ years in such an easy manner? Great customer relations! Cheers, S. in Seattle |

Subject: RE: C.F.Martin. Is there any E-mail adress From: Backwoodsman Date: 04 Dec 14 - 11:36 AM I was answering the query of GUEST, Hootenanny 04 Dec 14 - 01:00 AM. That's a question he/she asked today - recent enough for me. 👍 |
Subject: RE: C.F.Martin. Is there any E-mail adress From: GUEST Date: 04 Dec 14 - 11:26 AM I am sure that this was all really helful to the guy who was looking for an email address back in the last millenium. Most boards would lock a thread that hadn't had a post for 16 years. |
Subject: RE: C.F.Martin. Is there any E-mail adress From: Backwoodsman Date: 04 Dec 14 - 07:12 AM It's Dave King, in Kingsclere, nr. Newbury, Berks....... Dave King Acoustics Contact Details Excellent luthier, top-quality workmanship. Dave did a refinish of the back and sides of my D-18, it's flawless and indistinguishable from the new factory-finish. |
Subject: RE: C.F.Martin. Is there any E-mail adress From: GUEST,Hootenanny Date: 04 Dec 14 - 06:57 AM Unlike guest above I e-mailed Martin over a year ago where I asked them for their recommended repair man in England. I Received a message to say that they get many e-mails. Whoopee for them! but do they ever reply? I still await an answer to a simple question. Not a great way to treat customers. Fortunately there are a good number of companies now making quality instruments who treat customers with some respect even after they have taken their dollars. |

Subject: RE: C.F.Martin. Is there any E-mail adress From: murray@mpce.mq.edu.au Date: 11 Nov 98 - 02:25 AM There is a guy who hangs out on the newsgroup: rec.music.makers.guitar.acoustic named Joe Mack. He is the (I think) Northwest representative for Martin Guitars. He seems to field a lot of the Martin questions from folks on that NG. There are many kowlegable people there who can answer questions about Martins if he doesn't. You can always wait until he posts and then get his email address and send him a personal email (but don't tell him who told you to do that ;}). Murray |
