Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Lesson too late for the learning parody From: PoppaGator Date: 13 Oct 04 - 05:54 PM I'm not a European, but I don't quite understand the bit about "[beans weed] a blowin'," either. I know what weed is (and I suspect GUEST does as well it's marijuana), but not "beans weed." Boone's Farm is a brand of cheap wine -- originally best known for their apple wine, a favorite among non-connosseur hippies in the late 60s. Gallo is a major California vintner, recently cultivating an upscale image by producing some very decent wine, but they had long since established their name as a source for the cheap rotgut especially popular among alcoholic derelicts. Gallo white port in the flat half-pint bottle is probably the single most popular choice among winos on America's skid rows. I'm sure we all know what gin is. |
