It is with great delight that I welcome Les Barker to WFDU-FM's TRADITIONS.

Les will join me in the studio this coming Sunday, October 17.   Les will share some of his "thingies" - the brilliant pieces that are part satire, part word play, part parody and are all around brilliant! There is NO ONE that can equal what he does. If Mark Twain was born in 20th century England, he would be walking in Les Barker's shoes.   Les can cause fits of laughter and then he can bring you back to earth with some powerful prose about the human condition and the politicians that put up roadblocks for all of us. This man is a treasure!!

Please join us! WFDU-FM's TRADITIONS can be heard from 3 to 6pm Eastern Time - in the NYC area over 89.1FM or you can listen online at www.wfdu.fm .

Les will be on at approximately 4pm. Join us!!!!

Our website has a section on the main page where you can convert the time. I believe there is a 5 hour difference.

Frank Hennessy played 2 great Les poems on Celtic Heartbeats last week - it's archived on the BBC's Radio Wales site.
