Subject: andy m. stewart songbook? From: GUEST,jesse Date: 22 Oct 04 - 08:51 AM Does anyone have the Andy M. stewart songbook? It is not the songs I'm searching for, (although there are some great ones), The book is out of print and I am haunted (in a good way) by a painting that I think is in the book as an illustration. If I remember correctly it is called "A tune for the cattle" If anyone could provide the name of the artist, it would be greatly appreciated. I would love to have more information about the painting and any reproductions as well. Thanks, Jesse |

Subject: RE: andy m. stewart songbook? From: Maryrrf Date: 03 Nov 09 - 09:38 AM Unfortunately it looks like it's out of print http://andymstewart.com/songbook.htm Try contacting www.chivalry.com , they may have an idea of when it will be available again. Now that Print on Demand is becoming more popular, that might be an option, or a downloadable copy might be made available. |

Subject: RE: andy m. stewart songbook? From: Tattie Bogle Date: 17 Jun 10 - 01:21 PM Seems we are talking about 2 different books! The one shown in Maryrrf's link was published in 1998 as The Andy M. Stewart Collection, and includes some newer material than the original Songbook (as it says in the forward to the book). I have a copy of the 1998 book, which I bought at one of Andy's concerts about 4 or 5 years ago: it contains 60 songs in all, including "Valley of Strathmore". The only illustrations are black and white photos and the copy of the engraving of Gowrie's Tower, Perth. The publishers (and copyright holders) of the 1998 book are: Strathmore Music and Film Services, PO Box 13223, Galashiels, TD1 2YH Scotland ISBN number: 0-8256-9420-S |
