Whilst out gigging with the diminuitive NikNak last evening, her goodself suggested an emergency session in the Six Bells, Barrow upon Humber tonight, Saturday the whatever it is.

Jo, our long suffering landlady is up for it, so all are welcome. It is not an excuse not to come to the Big Session Tuesday next, more a warm-up for that gathering.

The cacophony starts to wind up from 8.30pm.

Well this is shaping up to be a fine hootenannay. The present Mrs S is safely tucked up in that Ireland, the fry are all sleeping over elsewhere, the word has been put out in West, North and East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, and some fine exponents of the craft are descending on Barrow. And Oaklet.

Glad you sorted out that emergency you lot. Sorry we couldn't join you but you seem to have managed it well enough. Session players - the ?th emergency service? Not sure of the number but it's in between midwives and whelk gatherers.

I was going to mainline some haggis at a trade dinner in Edinburgh, Kazza, but have cancelled that in favour of getting trolleyed again in Barrow. No competition.
