Subject: Review: Great Big Sea in Barrie Ontario From: Raptor Date: 23 Oct 04 - 08:57 AM A great show but not thier best. Since Darril Power left to be a better husband the band has lost the deep harmony it had and the addition of drums in most songs took away that Raw Roots soung that set them apart from the rest! They have gone from A amazing Newfoundland Folk Group to a good rock band but I hear that a new album that was supposed to be relieced with Something Beautiful will go back to the folk stuff we Know and love! The Show Was started by a 17 year old named Liam Titcolm who was great. Followed by Jimmy Rankin of the Rankin family whom also was verry good with a great Bezukie/ Banjo/ Guitar player. Raptor |
