Tim Dinsdale was one of the most dedicated searchers for the Loch Ness Monster. Between 1960 and 1987, he led 56 expeditions, most of them solo, mostly on water; and he helped many of the other people who hunted for Nessie during those years. It is because most little boys (and not a few grown men) are frankly terrified of the subject of douche bags that the term "douche bag" is considered offensive. That's my opinion, anyway. Same goes for "twat" and various similar terms which have some connection to the more intimate body parts of females. It all starts when males are, let's say, age 10 or around there...and they still figure girls are pretty "icky", but they want to impress other boys with how tough they are. That's when such terms of abuse as "douche bag" really appeal to the immature male mind. It becomes a test of incipient manhood to hurl such terms at other people in a particularly nasty way. Later, much to their surprise, these same lads become VERY interested in getting closer to girls...but they just can't give up the gutter talk around their fellow males, cos otherwise they might be seen as wimpy or something. I mean, hell, they might be seen as sensitive or even liberal!!! God forbid.

As for anuses from Uranus, well, who knows? It depends what kind of life is found on Uranus, right?

Well, I guess none of you have seen MEET THE FEEBLES, huh? That's Peter Jackson's Puppet Magnum Opus from 1990. I nearly split a gut when that film first came out and thankfully got to meet Peter who was still quite poor and driving around in Rent-A wrecks whilst in LA. He forbade us to make any dupes of the film and as a result, every time somebody wanted to see our precious copy, we had to sit through the film AGAIN. I know that movie by heart now.

Of course, I haven't seen him since THE FRIGHTNERS came out and he become somebody. At any rate..MEET THE FEEBLES was the original sick and twisted puppet film. sorry Trey Parker and Matt Stone...Peter was there first and he didn't cut the puppet sex nor the Nasal Puppet Sex. The film's a cult masterpiece AND it's a musical. What's not to love?

Paul..FEEBLES is available on Japanese Laser disc and I'm sure by now it's on DVD somewhere..if not..PM me and I'll set you up. I'll even include a photo of Peter Jackson snuggling with my famous cat Oscar. Oscar is famous for having slept with lots of musicians, filmmakers and writers who have had occasion to stay over my house. Oscar, slut cat that he is...sleeps with anybody who stays in the guest room or on the coach. I don't recall if Peter ever slept overnight, but he and Oscar were pals back when Peter wasn't Mr. Freaking Lord of The Rings.

Incidentally, Another of Oscar's bunk buddies, Director Jim Van Bebber will be appearing at The Nuart tonight in Santa Monica to introdue his long-awaited film CHARLIE'S FAMILY which has been retitled THE MANSON FAMILY by the current distributor because apparently interantional audiences weren't aware of Manson's 1st name. He'll be taking questions between and after the showings.

The film has garnerd excellent reviews but I warn you, it's not for the squeemish. It is not exploitation-fare....just gut-wrenching social commentary in the form of a close retelling of the events mostly from the perspective of Bobby Beausoleil and Tex Watson. Jim's struggled to get the film released for almost 12 years and now that's it's out it has been generating big buzz. My husband, Dave Pollison from Renaissance Picures is accompanying Jim but I don't know if he's going to speak (my husband). I've chosen not to go. For anyone even remotely interested in the fall-out from the Manson crimes, it's worth sitting through even though it's a harrowing experience.

Jim does justice to the victims whilst at the same time demystifying the murders and protraying them as the banal and stupid crimes they were. Mostly I admire him for remindin g people of the forgotten Manson victim, Gary Hinman, whose murder started the killing spree. Almost everyone forgets poor Gary who was tortured over the course of days before they dispatched him. He was a very religious Musician who is univerally writeen off as "some drug dealer they killed." as if he deserved it. Hinman was no such thing, he was a dear and gentle person who made the fatal mistake of befriending The Family. Good for Jim Van Bebber. The film will is in New York and LA currently but after a rave from Ebert, it got 20 more bookings.

So email me if you cannot get FEEBLES and we'll work something out. If you are ever in LA, you might even be able to meet one of the Feebles puppets who resides in LA. FOrry Ackerman has Winyard the knife-throwing Frog with Nam flashbacks. I was a witness in Forry's big lawsuit and he promised me access to Winyard in return. I hope he still has him.
