I recently heard about a guitar being made by a company called L. Benito. I heard that it was hand made and solid wood. But the most interesting thing was that the top was made from a wood that was three thousand years old and that the tonal qualities of it were out of this world. Does anybody know where I can take a look at one these gems?

If it's the same.. I read Benneto (I think), and they were $45,000!
Think of all the MARTINS! you could have for that. Plus some left over for repairs.

An acquaintance of mine has one. They are really nice. Apparently Benito worked at Taylor some years before returning to Chile. Excellent guitars.

I bought about 6 years back. The guitar shop and received about 1/2 dozen on consignment. They don't cost $45,000. That is a false rumour. The tops are made from a spruce from Chile a very dark wood. My cutaway has a very fine sound with a strong midrange. The maker used to be the head luitar at Taylor. A very beautiful instrument.

I buy, sell and trade gutiars as a side business and happen to have an LBenito for sale. It is a dread, alerce top, mahogany back and sides with factory embroidered case. I bought several guitars that were the factory reps at the NAMM show when LBentio was promoting there. Obviously it is one of their best examples to be one chosen as a display at the show and it is dead mint. If interested email me and I will be happy to discuss the LBentio story and provide some photos and pricing. And don't worry, they are not $45,000.
