We've just returned from seeing Eric at Manchester doing a promo gig for Avalon Guitars/Sound Control.

Eric has just finished chemotherapy following an operation for a cancer on his salivary gland. This knocked him for six; but he's bounced back with passion and verve like you've never dreamt of.

He's just been for the first of many checks, and been pronounced clear.

If you've never seen him, catch him somehow, somewhere. Awesome. Innovative and immensely talented. And a nice guy.

Eric's had the most emotional year you could imagine. In the middle of his chemotherapy treatment his wife gave birth to their second child - a little girl. It had been scheduled for a home delivery; however, the birth was quicker than the peripatetic midwife, and Eric delivered his new daughter.

Oh, and by the way his latest record is called 'With These Hands'....
Says it all really.

That's great news, I was looking forward to seeing him at Fylde again,
only to hear the sad news that he couldn't make it.
We'd seen him there in 2003, and were totally gobsmacked not only by
his ability, but his totally inovative technical style.
Hope to see you back there next year !
