I've seen the video clip of I Love This Bar, on CMC.

Great song. The video clip was tremendous. Any comments

Have to say I also think the song-- (but especially the video)-- is great (my wife thinks it's even better).

It really shows he has a good sense of humor--especially to have him singing while people throw bottles at the chicken wire he's singing behind--and throw a guy at it.

What's interesting is that both my wife and I despise his politics---he's probably raised lots of money for Bush-----and some of his songs articulate the aggressive ignorance Bush thrives on.

But---she still likes him a lot, probably for his "in your face" attitude and sense of humor, And I have to admit he's probably a great crowd-pleaser.

Sure am glad she's not pressuring me to take her to a Toby Keith concert (I already have to listen to his absurd "Taliban" song.)

But I'd definitely watch that video again.

Hmmmmm, good job I just walked in isn't it!! Yep 'tis me, Jan, Ron's recently mentioned wife, I wondered what Ron writes about for hours down here in the basement, he keeps telling me it's politics, yeah right Ron! Guess Ron is gonna have to take me to a Toby Keith concert now ain't he? Actually I'm a very reserved English woman addicted to CMT, I love country music, and since I moved over here I'm catching up on all I've been missing in England all these years. I'm listening to Red Necked Woman by Gretchen Wilson as I write this, brilliant, Hell Yeah!

Well I'll just hang out here for a mo or two as Ron has gone off to watch,the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, on the box, great program it is too, political satire. I have watched it for years and now Ron is addicted to it since I called it to his attention.
Yep I really love country music, it has great lyrics, great videos, and they are all so good at taking the wotsits outta themselves, great stuff. We need some light madness and fun in this crazy world of Twigs and Kerry's. (He doesn't deserve to be called a whole Bush).
