Subject: Music req. for Nine Years' Waltz From: borealis@northernnet.com Date: 12 Feb 97 - 05:58 PM I learned to back up a friend on a gorgeous tune a few years ago. He called it The Nine Years' Waltz, and he said it was a Norman Blake tune. Now I've lost touch with my pal and I want to learn the melody. I don't find a tune by this name ANYWHERE. Got any clues? |
Subject: RE: Music req. for Nine Years' Waltz From: Valerie Date: 25 Feb 97 - 06:41 PM Don't know if it's what you're looking for, but the title reminds me of a song called "Waltxing's For Dreamers" by Four Men and a Dog. The chorus is something like: One step's for aching, two steps for breaking, Watzing's for dreamers and the losers in love. One step for sighing two steps for crying, watzing's for dreamers etc. Any use? Valerie |

Subject: RE: Music req. for Nine Years' Waltz From: Date: 07 Mar 97 - 02:46 PM For proper attribution's sake, "Waltzing's for Dreamers" was written by Richard Thompson; I'll check our Norman Blake collection to see if anything there rings a bell for Nine Year's Waltz... |
